About Lucy Fegan-Earl

Lucy joined Hodge Jones & Allen in March 2024 as a Paralegal in the Criminal Defence Team. She assists on a wide range of matters, including general crime, extradition and protest work. Lucy’s aspiration is to qualify as a criminal barrister, and is due to start the Bar Course in September 2025.

Before joining Hodge Jones & Allen, Lucy worked as a personal assistant to a Home Office Forensic Pathologist assisting with the preparation of independent expert reports in a range of complex cases including murder and manslaughter. This included liaising closely with counsel in the preparatory phases of a trial, which provided her with a unique perspective on a variety of cases and she is familiar with the requirements and conduct of injury cases from common assault to murder.

Lucy has undertaken many mini-pupillages, including shadowing a barrister from 3 Raymond Buildings on a landmark modern slavery trial, combined with marshalling judges at the Central Criminal Court.
