About Rebecca Field

Rebecca is a duty qualified solicitor specialising in crime and extradition law.

Rebecca has experience in representing clients in extradition proceedings in Part 1 and Part 2 cases before the Magistrates Court, and litigating cases before the High Court and Supreme Court.

Rebecca represents individuals accused of a variety of offences including allegations of serious violence, serious sexual offences, drug offences including conspiracies, Fraud and POCA proceedings at the Police station, in the Magistrates Court and at the Crown Court.

Passionate about representing youths, Rebecca has considerable experience in representing victims of modern-day slavery, defendants with mental health diagnosis’ and learning difficulties. She works to ensure that clients’ are able to access the services they require to divert them away from the justice system wherever possible.

Rebecca has experience of litigating contempt of court proceedings in the High Court and achieving favourable outcomes.

Devoted to client care, Rebecca goes above and beyond to ensure that the client’s best interests are prioritised throughout proceedings, building strong rapports with her clients through her diligent, empathetic, and warm approach.

Career & Education

Career

Rebecca joined HJA in April 2024. Prior to this she worked in the crime and extradition team as a solicitor at ITN solicitors from August 2022 and National Legal Service solicitors.

Rebecca completed her training contract at National Legal Service solicitors where she represented clients in a variety of Family Law proceedings including applications for non-molestation orders, child arrangements order and specific issues orders, conducting her own advocacy wherever possible. Upon completing her training contract, she transferred to the crime & extradition team.

Rebecca trained and volunteered previously for Victim Support UK and worked as a paralegal at the National Centre for Domestic violence.

Education

Rebecca completed her LPC and LLM in Legal Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law.

Rebecca is fluent in Italian (and is very rusty in German).
