About Charlotte Sykes
Charlotte joined Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors in September 2019 as a trainee solicitor. She completed her first seat in the Medical Negligence department assisting Agata Usewicz with her caseload, including severity child brain injury cases.
She then worked for Sasha Barton in the Civil Liberties & Human Righta department, working on a wide range of cases including Actions Against the Police, Equalities Act and data protection claims and cases involving a failure to protect.
She completed her third seat in Crime under the supervision of Raj Chada, with a strong focus on protest cases.
She is now completing her seat second in the Civil Liberties & Human Rights team, assisting Sasha Barton.

Before commencing her legal studies Charlotte worked in music. She was a co-founder of SIREN, a collective that promotes women, non-binary and LGBTQ people in electronic music through events, radio shows, workshops and zines. She was also a member of the editorial collective of STRIKE! Magazine, for which she ran events, and volunteered for Detention Action, a charity that provides emotional and practical support for detainees. Charlotte has taught debating in HMP Wandsworth and HMP Isis as part of the VOCALISE! Programme.
She enjoys hiking, cooking, reading and going to gigs.
