About Olivia Coffey

Olivia is a Senior Associate in the Civil Liberties and Human Rights department.  She joined Hodge Jones & Allen in December 2023.

Prior to this, she worked at Bolt Burdon Kemp for a number of years in their abuse department, specialising in bringing claims on behalf of survivors of sexual abuse against their abusers or responsible organisations such as:

  • Local Authorities
  • The Ministry of Defence
  • The Ministry of Justice
  • Religious organisations
  • The Scout Association
  • Football clubs

In undertaking this work, Olivia is committed to working tirelessly to support her clients in achieving justice and obtaining accountability for the abuse they have suffered.   Olivia is experienced in acting for extremely vulnerable clients, still suffering from the effects of trauma.  She has acted for a number of clients with learning and/or difficulties and individuals who lack capacity.

Olivia completed her training at TV Edwards solicitors and worked in their Personal Injury department, undertaking personal injury work as well as actions against the police and other public bodies, acting in matters involving assaults by police officers, assaults by prison staff, and in cases regarding unlawful arrest and detention.
