About Eloise Carey

Eloise is currently completing her second seat in the Medical Negligence team, supervised by Dawn Treloar. She is looking forward to developing a strong foundation in civil litigation, with a particular focus on the physical and psychological impacts of catastrophic injuries during birth.

Eloise began her training contract in September 2021 completed her first seat in the Crime Department, assisting Raj Chada and Mike Schwarz. Eloise has previous experience in Regulatory law and in particular health care regulators from her last firm.

In the Crime Department, Eloise worked with Raj Chada representing a client charged with assault of a police officer. Eloise drafted an application to dismiss the case which was not opposed by the prosecution. The client was referred to the civil liberties team who may represent him in an action against the police and for malicious prosecution.

During her seat in Crime, Eloise particularly enjoyed researching and writing a blog on the referral powers of the Attorney General in the context of the ‘Colston Four’ trial for the website.

Personal interests

Eloise moved to London in 2019 and spends her weekends finding new eating spots in each borough.
She recently had the opportunity to organise a Diversity Children’s Book Drive and is looking for a new project during her training contract.
