Camilla joined the Clinical Negligence team at Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors in April 2017 as a paralegal where she assisted the fee earners in a variety of cases including gynaecological/obstetric injuries, GP negligence, delayed diagnoses of cancer, surgical errors. Camilla also took the team’s new enquiries which involved different types of potential claims such as psychiatric, birth injury, dental and orthopaedic claims amongst others. This required her to draw from her knowledge from her time in medical school whilst also providing client care for the Clinical Negligence team as some calls were of a highly sensitive nature.
She began her training contract with the firm in September 2019 in the Dispute Resolution department where she assisted the fee earners in the team on a wide range of claims including contentious probate, contract disputes and professional negligence matters.
Camilla has now begun her second seat in the Clinical Negligence department where she will be working under the supervision of Dawn Treloar and assisting on a variety of claims including complex birth injury cases.
Prior to joining HJA, Camilla worked in various industries including retail, caring/nursing as well as front of house at the Royal Albert Hall.
Camilla has now started a course on Law & Genetics at The University of Cambridge Institute of Continued Education.
