About Camilla Chellapermal
Camilla joined the Medical Negligence team at Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors in April 2017 as a paralegal where she assisted the fee earners in a variety of cases across all fields of care. Camilla also took the team’s new enquiries which involved different types of potential claims such as psychiatric, birth injury, dental and orthopaedic claims amongst others. This required her to draw from her knowledge from her time in medical school whilst also providing client care for the Medical Negligence team as some calls were of a highly sensitive nature.
She began her training contract with the firm in September 2019 in the Dispute Resolution department where she assisted the fee earners in the team on a wide range of claims including contentious probate, contract disputes and professional negligence matters.
Camilla completed her second seat in the Medical Negligence department, working under the supervision of Dawn Treloar, assisting on a variety of cases including complex birth injury claims.
She completed her third seat in the Housing department, working under the supervision of Sophie Bell and assisting in claims such as disrepair cases, possession and eviction matters.
Camilla returns to the Medical Negligence department for her final seat and will be working under the supervision of Nina Ali.
Prior to joining HJA, Camilla worked in various industries including retail, caring/nursing as well as front of house at the Royal Albert Hall.
