About Nadine Refaat
Nadine is a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence department. Her caseload includes fatal accident claims, mental health claims, inquests, secondary victim claims, claims arising from orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology and delays in diagnosis. She also assists a Partner in the team with a range of complex litigated claims.
Nadine joined Hodge Jones & Allen in June 2017 where she started as a paralegal in the Mental Capacity & Deputyship department. She assisted the professional deputies who predominately act for brain injured clients and clients with mental health problems. Nadine subsequently went on to join the Medical Negligence department in June 2018. Here, she assisted two solicitors with a variety of cases including GP negligence, obstetric injuries, surgical errors, orthopaedic injuries, fatal claims and inquests, which included Article 2 inquests.
Nadine then completed her training contract at the firm. Her first seat was in the Medical Negligence team, where she assisted a Partner with a range of complex claims including high value birth injury cases, fatal and psychiatric claims, inquests and surgical cases. Her second seat was in the Housing & Property team, where she is assisting the head of the department with various matters ranging from disrepair, homelessness reviews, unlawful evictions, discrimination claims and multi-party judicial review claims. Nadine’s final seat was in the Civil Liberties & Human ights department where she assisted the head of department in a variety of actions, such as actions against the police, miscarriage of justice claims, breaches of the Data Protection Act 2018 and misuse of private information claims, large scale multi-party actions and breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998.
