Nina Ali, a clinical negligence specialist, sent a letter to the Ministers at the Department of Health to oppose the intended proposal by Mr Ben Gummer to limit the cost for clinical negligence cases up to £100,000. She said the proposal to impose fixed costs in such cases would amount to an ‘insidious erosion of justice’, which would lead to decreasing accountability of the medical profession.
