Kristina O’Connor solicitor speaks to Channel 4 News on call for change in Met Police

Nancy Collins, Civil Liberties and Human Rights solicitor responded to Sadiq Khan’s call yesterday for reassurance from Cressida Dick that there will be cultural change in the Metropolitan Police Force.

Speaking on Channel 4 news Nancy said “We don’t believe simply removing Cressida Dick from post would be sufficient but, ultimately the buck stops with her. We support Sadiq Khan’s view that there is a lack of a plan to boost public confidence in the Metropolitan Police. They simply need to take drastic steps to remove these officers who abuse their position of power. The discarding of ‘bad apples’ needs to take place sooner, rather than later.” Watch the full news item here.
