HJA Supports Limbless Association Members in Inspiring O2 Climb

On Friday 2nd October I had the pleasure of climbing the O2 with amputees, their friends and families, Limbless Association members, and with Jack, Jake and Cevi from Hodge Jones & Allen.

Climbing O2 on 2.10.2026

The weather was perfect – sunshine and a slight breeze. Nothing like the wet and windy conditions some of the LA members talked about from last year! So, we were off to a good start!

All harnessed up and ready to go. The climb up was a gentle upwards sloap with views of London and close up views of the yellow metal support masts holding the white canopy of the Dome together. The walkway was slightly bouncy to walk along, but the amputees easily navigated it. When we reached the top, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and an opportunity to enjoy the views!

I found the way down slightly more physically demanding than ascending as it was a steeper gradient at 30 degrees. The pressure on my leg muscles was quite intense and that was for me as an able bodied person. I was in awe of the amputees who all made it down with smiles on their faces and a sense of achievement.

The walk along the O2 was an amazing experience and I was very lucky to do it alongside the amputees and the LA.

Hodge Jones & Allen are so proud to have sponsored this event and been part of it. We look forward to the next event!
