Behind Every Device Is A Story: Our Experience At The BAPO Regional Conference 2026
I had the pleasure of attending the BAPO Regional Conference in Wales with my colleague Ruchie Fowle on 3rd-4th September 2026.
The Theme was “Beyond the device”. This was particularly of interest to us working with injured clients and listening to the opportunities for first class rehabilitation and collaborative working of patient centred care. Behind every device is a story of individuals and how the impact of prosthetic and orthotic care can improve the confidence of individuals.
Hodge Jones and Allen have partnered with BAPO and had the privilege of exhibiting at the conference. We had the opportunity to meet a number of BAPO Partners and Orthotist and prosthetics, in addition to those working with case management companies. In addition, a wide range of organisations attended showcasing innovative technologies.

The conference included four fantastic key note speakers and lots of presentations.
We had a lovely opportunity to catch up with the Limbless Association (Clifton Henry, Debbie rent, Sue Rose and David Rose).
Hodge Jones and Allen had the honour of sponsoring the Support Worker of the Year Award and Ruchie Fowle presenting the award on the night to the winner.
