Hodge Jones & Allen Employment Law Team join up with Busylizzy Family Club to run survey into impact of Coronavirus on pregnancy, maternity & employment issues
Posted on: 26th November 2020
Susie Al-Qassab, Partner and Head of our Employment Law team appeared live via Facebook to members of the Busylizzy parenting group on 4th November. During this live session, Susie gave advice and answered questions on the topic of pregnancy, maternity and redundancy, particularly during the Coronavirus pandemic. Busylizzy, established in 2011 offers fitness and fun for mums, new mums to be and their babies.
Following Susie’s talk, Hodge Jones & Allen continue working with Busylizzy to gather data. The aim – to gain an understanding of how the UK’s employers are treating employees during their pregnancy and maternity leave.
Commenting on the survey, Susie said: “We are keen to hear more from mums and mums-to-be about the experiences they have faced at work, particularly during the pandemic.”
The short, anonymous survey is open until 30 November and is available online by clicking here. If you are a new mum or mum-to-be, we would very much appreciate your response as it will help to improve the understanding of how the pandemic has affected mums and mums-to-be in the workplace. Please do also share the survey link with anyone else who may be interested in taking part.
