As a member of the Personal Injury team here at Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors I am part of the Limbless Association’s Legal Panel.
I was honoured to be able to support and attend the Limbless Association by attending this inaugural event; Wheel. Walk. Talk. at the Hannigford Reservoir, Downham, Billericay.
A big thank you to all those who came out in the (much needed) rain to support the event. A thank you not only for attending but on a personal note for making me feel so welcome as a lawyer and sharing, with ease, your experiences.
The Limbless Association undertake invaluable work to support those who have lost a limb, their mission is that “No Amputee Need Cope Alone” and this informs all that they do. Hence the ethos behind this event, to bring amputees and their families together to share a cuppa and their experiences.
This was the first time the LA had provided this event. They are always thinking up innovative ways to being the amputee community together for support.
It is a great idea to share all of this with nature and a walk.
It takes an awful lot of planning to put on a two-hour event such as this and I congratulate those at the LA who made this possible.
