Civil Liberties Paralegal – 6 Month FTC

Hodge Jones & Allen LLP are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Liberties Paralegal on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

We are seeking candidates with a commitment to upholding the rights of individuals, challenging state bodies and working in the legal aid sector. The successful candidate will be assisting two fee earners with complex caseloads consisting of inquests and actions against the police and other state bodies.

The successful candidate will require at least one year of experience working as a Paralegal and have experience in the following:

• Drafting correspondence to various authorities, such as clients, defendants, courts etc.
• Dealing with different types of funding
• Working on Civil Litigation matters

Applicants should have excellent communication and written skills and be able to work well under pressure. This role involves a significant amount of administrative work, such as file maintenance, therefore requires good organisation and computer skills.
