Hodge Jones & Allen boosts Court of Protection Team with new Partner appointment
Hodge Jones & Allen has today announced the appointment of Simon Egan as a new partner within the Court of Protection and Private Client Department.
Bringing a wealth of expertise to this busy team, led by Philippa Barton, Simon is a knowledgeable and experienced Court of Protection lawyer whose work covers administering deputyships, creation of trusts, will and probate matters. In addition, Simon advises clients on estate administration, taxation matters and care home funding.
With over 15 years’ experience, Simon has built his career working with a number of law firms with specialist private client departments in Greater Manchester.
Commenting on his work and appointment, Simon said “Understanding our legal rights is so important for us all but, even more so, for the older and more vulnerable in society. Helping them get to grips with their personal matters and find resolution is hugely satisfying for me. I am delighted to become a partner at Hodge Jones & Allen as their reputation for fighting for what’s right and putting the client first is truly inspiring and it encourages me to do my very best in each case I take on.”
Patrick Allen, Managing Partner said “Simon is the second new partner we have appointed for our COP team in the last few months. He brings strong deputyship experience, along with a successful track record of helping people write their wills and deal with a range of estate administration and taxation matters. Our private service helps individuals and families to navigate complex and difficult matters and bring successful resolution so they can get on with their lives. Simon is an excellent addition to this important team and the services they provide to our clients.”
Simon is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Court of Protection Practitioners Association (COPPA) and the Professional Deputies Forum.
