Janka Szudarovics
Janka joined Hodge Jones & Allen in September 2025 as a paralegal in the firm’s Crime and Extradition Department.
She assists the extradition team on a range of cases, supporting clients facing complex cross-border proceedings. She has been involved in resisting extradition requests from part 1 jurisdictions such as France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece and Cyprus and also part 2 jurisdictions including USA, Ukraine, Albania and Moldova.
She has dealt with cases featuring complex arguments about political motivation, dual criminality, forum, prison conditions and human rights issues. She liaises with legal experts in foreign jurisdictions and medical and psychological experts here. She regularly attends both the Magistrates and the High Court to assist counsel and to ensure that clients receive the best service.
Janka will soon obtain her Police Station Accreditation and is developing her experience in general crime matters alongside her extradition work. She is due to qualify as a solicitor in September 2027.
Prior to joining Hodge Jones & Allen, Janka worked with a US-qualified attorney on federal appeals in Houston, Texas and also volunteered at Sufra NW London, supporting individuals in need within the local community. Janka has a strong interest in access to justice and is particularly committed to assisting those who are vulnerable or in difficult circumstances.
Janka holds a BA (Hons) in the Ancient World from University College London and an MA in Law (conversion) from the University of Law, London. She completed both SQE 1 and SQE 2 in 2025.
Originally from Hungary, Janka is fluent in Hungarian and has a basic knowledge of French.
