Man shot by police cleared over daughter attack

A father who was shot three times by police as he stabbed his daughter has been found not guilty of attempted murder by reason of insanity. Marc Traylor, 42, of Hersden, near Canterbury, stabbed his 16-year-old daughter with two kitchen knives. Jurors heard Mr Traylor, who had paranoid schizophrenia, had stopped taking his medication after being allowed to self-medicate.
