Whiplash Injury claim
Personal Injury case report: £2,000 damages awarded for
Whiplash injury caused by road traffic
accident
Our client was waiting at traffic lights when
her car was hit from behind by another vehicle whose driver had
failed to observe the red light and stationery traffic. Our
client's car was shunted forward, hitting the car in front of
her.
Our client sustained injuries to her neck and
shoulder and her whiplash symptoms troubled her for some months
following the accident.
Both our client and the driver in front of her
claimed against the driver of the vehicle that crashed into our
client. Liability was promptly admitted by the defendant's
representatives. It was decided that a full expert report was
unnecessary.
As a result of our representation, our client
was awarded damages of £1,250.00 due to her injuries (General
Damages) and a further £750 relating to the damage caused to her
car and her financial loss on the sale of her vehicle after the
accident (Special Damages).
