Tube Derailment transport disaster

Personal Injury case report: HJA represented two victims of the July 7th 2007 Tube derailment

On July 7th 2007 three carriages came off the rails of the westbound Central Line tube train between Mile End and Bethnal Green stations. Hundreds of passengers were left stranded in the tunnel and several were hurt when a tube train derailed. Around 700 people were taken off the derailed train and one train which was stuck behind it at 11am after a two hour wait.

Over 20 people received medical treatment. Initial reports suggest that a bale of material which was outside of its allocated storage position may have caused the derailment. Metronet are investigating the cause of the accident with TfL officials.

Hodge Jones & Allen in London represented several people with a range of injuries.
