Snatch Land Rovers claims

When a loved one is injured or killed, claiming compensation may not be a top priority for you as you come to terms with what has happened. However, it becomes harder to bear when your loved one has died unnecessarily. The use of Snatch Land Rovers in Iraq and Afghanistan has been a huge topic of debate in the press, by politicians and victims families.

What are Snatch Land Rovers?

According to the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Snatch Land Rover is a protected patrol vehicle that was originally deployed for use in Northern Ireland due to its speed over rough ground and maneuverability and was designed to withstand bricks, hand grenades and bottles.

However, Snatch Land Rovers are extremely vulnerable to roadside bombs and have not been suitable as patrol vehicles in the recent Iraq and Afghan conflicts, with over 30 military personnel losing their lives during operations in these war zones. Having been famously referred to by Soldiers as “mobile coffins”, relatives of victims are now demanding to hear from the government why they were not replaced as soon as this became clear.
