Criminal Injuries
Compensation Authority
The
Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme
(CICA) was set up by the government to help the victims of
violent crime. Depending on the injury, it pays out between £1,000
and £500,000. The CICA scheme was designed so that victims could
make their own claims.
You can seek compensation through the Criminal
Injury Compensation Authority (CICA) if you have been a victim
of:
- A violent assaulted / crime at work
- A sexual assault
- A physical assault
- A fleeing criminal
- Shock as a result of witnessing an assault to
a loved one
However, if you have had your criminal injury
claim turned down, or you are finding the paperwork too much to
deal with at such a difficult time, it may help to
consult a specialist criminal injury lawyer.

Our experienced personal injury lawyers at Hodge Jones &

you. If we feel that you have a simple criminal injury claim that
doesn’t need legal representation, we will tell you.
However, if your injuries are more
complicated, perhaps involving physiological problems or post
traumatic stress, you could benefit from having a criminal injury
expert on your side to assess your criminal injury
compensation claim.
