Francesca Abbot joined Hodge Jones & Allen in August 2010. She has always known she wanted a career within the legal profession and particularly within Family law.

Michael Ackah works in the criminal defence team at Hodge Jones & Allen specialising in all criminal matters.
He has gained experience in various roles including two years at the RCJ as a Listings Officer, at a local law centre, at defence firm Janes' Solicitors and at the CPS assisting in case preparation.
He did his law degree at Leicester University in 2004 and completed the LPC at Westminster University in 2009.

Nina Ali qualified as a solicitor in 2002, having trained at Hodge Jones & Allen. Nina, who is also a qualified nurse with 10 years' experience, specialised in clinical negligence from the outset and has run the complete range of clinical negligence cases. She has a special interest in psychiatric, cardiac and fatal cases. Nina is a Law Society Accredited Clinical Negligence Panel Member. Nina is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

Patrick Allen trained with London West End law firm Offenbach & Co 1973-1976 where he dealt with crime, family and civil liberties cases. Patrick qualified as a solicitor in 1977 when he founded Hodge Jones & Allen in Camden with Henry Hodge and Peter Jones. He has always been the firm’s Managing Partner and has combined this role with the position of Senior Partner following Henry's retirement in 1998.
Patrick has managed the firms expansion from 4 to 190 staff members over the last 34 years and the big move to our current premises in Euston in 2007.
Patrick specialises in complex personal injury and multi-party cases. He was the leader of the HJA team managing Gulf War illness claims for UK veterans and the New Cross Fire inquest. He has also managed the MMR and Sheep Dip multi-party actions and played a lead role in the King's Cross Fire and Marchioness Litigation on behalf of claimants.
Patrick has a long standing involvement with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He was Vice President of APIL 2001-3, President of APIL 2003-2004 and APIL Law Society Council Member 2002-2006.
Patrick sits as a Deputy District Judge and is a member of the Law Society Civil Justice Committee.

AiliMarie Arunachalam joined Hodge Jones & Allen in August 2011. Since qualifying, she has worked predominantly in the area of criminal defence, including working in Jamaica and Trinidad where she prepared capital punishment cases to the appellate authorities. She has a particular interest in youth work and prior to qualifying represented unaccompanied minors - in particular from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia - seeking refugee status in the United Kingdom. She has also had experience in large scale people trafficking and multi-jurisdictional drug importation cases.
She has obtained high calibre advocacy experience as a trial advocate both in the lower and higher courts. Prior to joining the firm she had been employed as a Higher Courts Advocate for number of years and was lead in a matter at the Central Criminal Court before the Common Sergeant Judge Barker QC, lasting five months.

Tofiq Aslam initially qualified as a barrister in 1983, working on a mixture of criminal and civil cases. He subsequently qualified as a solicitor and continues to practice in both criminal and family law.
Tofiq has substantial experience in a broad range of criminal cases. He has represented many clients charged with serious offences, including murder, rape, fraud, large scale drugs importation cases, as well as general crime and motoring offences. Often his cases have involved international aspects and he has had to travel overseas in order to obtain the necessary evidence. He can accept instructions either via legal aid funding or on a privately funded basis.
Tofiq also has substantial experience of family law, particularly Children Law cases. He has been a member of the Children Panel for 20 years. His clients are often involved in both criminal and civil proceedings.

Nishani commenced her training contract at Hodge Jones & Allen in 2011. She is currently in her first seat in the Personal Injury department.
Prior to this she pursued a career in the humanitarian aid sector and specialised in working with policies concerning refugees, internally displaced persons and other vulnerable populations.

Maxine qualified as a solicitor in 1986, after completing a wide-ranging period of training including seats in Wills and Probate, Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and Crime.
Once qualified, she decided to specialise in Criminal Defence and spent most days in Enfield and Highgate Magistrates' courts dealing with a range of matters from theft and handling stolen goods, to serious sexual assualts, fraud and murder.
Maxine enjoys representing both adults, youths and whole families. Some of her clients have been with her for over twenty years.
Before joining Hodge Jones & Allen, she was a salaried partner with Porters in Tottenham for over fifteen years. She then became a Consultant Solicitor for Needham Poulier for a period of four years.

Sasha graduated from Cambridge University in 1999 with a degree in English Literature. She worked at the Commission for Racial Equality from 2002 to 2005, specialising in advising public bodies on the race equality duty and Gypsy and Irish Traveller law and policy. She qualified as a solicitor on 1st May 2009.
Sasha is recommended as a 'leading individual - rising star' by The Legal 500 2011.

Sophie joined Hodge Jones & Allen in October 2008. She was admitted as a solicitor in October 2005 and since July 2006 has specialised in housing law representing tenants faced with possession proceedings, eviction and homelessness.
She also has dealt with a number of cases concerning disrepair actions, judicial review, homelessness appeals and unlawful evictions.
