Action Mesothelioma Day

Friday 2nd July

Today, Friday, 2nd July 2010, the British Lung Foundation is raising awareness of asbestos related diseases by promoting Action Mesothelioma Day.

Mesothelioma is a cancer which develops in the chest and lungs. It is known to develop after exposure to asbestos but diagnosis can be delayed by between 15 and 60 years.

The BLF campaign for 2010 focuses on DIY in the home and aims to educate how easily people can disturb asbestos that was used in the construction, when making home improvements.

Read how to dispose of asbestos safely and other top tips on handling asbestos on the British Lung Foundation website.

At Hodge Jones & Allen LLP, we have specialist solicitors who can advise you and help you claim for asbestos related disease compensation. Contact asbestos solicitor Simon O'Loughlin for further information.
