inégales , directed by Peter Wiegold, are one of the most
innovative new ensembles in London drawing on contemporary, free
and jazz musics. Described as ‘post-fusion’ their projects have
included HOT - an Infernal Cabaret and Shuffle with visionary
artist Christian Marclay.

Thursday club night. The autum series featured outstanding special
guests: Christophe Fellay, Living Room in London & Manu Delago,
Seb Rochford and Murray Lachlan Young.
For 2012, special guests lined up to
date include: Japanes drummer Joji Hirota, composer Mira Calix,
trumpeter Byron Wallen, and saxophonist Evan Parker.

Thursday 26th January - Joji Hirota
Joji Hirota is a world famous
Japanese Taiko drummer, multi-percussionist, Shakuhachi
player, and singer.
Thursday 9th February - Mira Calix
Mira Calix mixes vocals with
experimental beats and textures to create acclaimed
compositions. She also produces and performs her
works. Signed to Warp Records, she has released a number of
albums and also won a "British Composer Award" in 2009.
Thursday 23rd February - Joe Bolger, countertenor
Thursday 8th March - Byron Wallen
Jazzwise magazine hail Bryon Wallen as "one of the
most innovative, exciting and original trumpet players
alive". He has collaborated with a number well
known artists, including Mica Paris, Caron Wheeler, Shola Ama,
Roland Gift and Grace Jones. Bryon released his album "Meeting
Ground" in 2007.
Thursday 22nd March - Evan Parker
Evan Parker is a
free-improvising saxophone player. In the 1960s he became part of
Britain's emerging "free jazz" scene and has since collaborated
with a number of artists and ensembles, including Barry Guy's
London Jazz Composers Orchestra (LJCO). He is best known
for his solo work, in which he uses a variety of techniques to
create "the illusion of polyphony". His work has led The
Times to dub him "one of the music's greatest living
instrumentalists".
